Making Memories Together Changes

I have been thinking about making changes to this blog, and to the Yahoo group for sometime now. I just didn't feel that this blog was doing the MMT group any justice; and that the aim of MMT needed to be a little clearer. After spending sometime changing the layout of this blog today here are some clearer aims for the Making Memories Together group:

Making Memories Together is a support group for Lewiston-Auburn area homeschoolers.

Our Yahoo group is a place to post about events, fieldtrips and activities going on in the Lewiston-Auburn area (and beyond); to discuss topics of interest; and a place to reach out for friendship and support.

Our blog is a digital scrapbook to capture how we are Making Memories Together!

I know we have several families on our yahoo group that live outside of the Lewiston-Auburn area (I consider the L/A area to include any towns surrounding that area; but if you live outside of that area and are willing to travel than that is fine too). We also have several families that do not homeschool (you are welcome to stay with us if this group is serving your purpose, but our aim will be toward homeschooling). I hope that you all will support me with these changes and continue to be a part of the Making Memories Together group.

How you can help?
If you have photos of field trips or events that you would like to share with the group please post them to in the File section of our yahoo group. If there is a particular photo or news you want to have posted to the blog let us know.

If you know of a field trip or event tell us about it on the Yahoo group.

Oh yeah, this blog has a new web address www.makingmemoriestogetherl-a.blogspot.com
Love Making Memories Together with all of you!

New Science and Technology 4-H Club Coming September 2010

In September, look for a new Science and Technology 4-H club forming. This club will incorporate Legos, Lego Rebotics, Science topics and 4-H's Power of the Wind Engineering curriculum, as well as anything else Science or Technology related. This will be a collaborative effort. So stay tuned!
